Dr Helen Szoor-McElhinney carried out her PhD at the University of Edinburgh at the Institute of Immunology and Infection Research.
During this time she worked as a STEMNET Ambassador, and continued working in science communication and engagement in Scottish schools, colleges and universities after graduating,
Her passion for learning and development led her to qualify as an Academic Learning and Development Officer, which provided a rich and rewarding dimension to her science engagement work.
Helen will coordinate external and specific internal communications within the Proteus team, as well as supporting Proteus researchers to share skills and knowledge to promote and enhance interdisciplinary collaborations.
