Dr Debaditya Choudhury
Dr Debaditya Choudhary’s PhD explored the development of ultrafast laser inscribed optofluidic devices for biomedical and point-of-care sensing applications.
Previous research has focused on the optoelectronic characterisation of amorphous hydrogenated silicon germanium thin-films for photovoltaic applications. He has also investigated applications of hyperspectral imaging in trace evidence detection.
He was a co-awardee of the Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept grant in 2007 and spent two years developing a drug detection device aimed for roadside testing.
Debaditya will use the techniques of laser inscription to full effect within the Proteus project in order to optimise novel fibres.
