Dr Colin Campbell
“I’m really excited at the prospect of using our sensors in-vivo and in a clinical setting. This is a new challenge for us and by working closely with colleagues from other disciplines we can do something really transformative.”
Dr Colin Campbell is a Senior Lecturer in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.
He works exclusively at the interface between physical sciences and biomedical sciences, developing sensors that will make a difference in research and healthcare.
Specifically, he makes nanosensors that can measure physiological parameters such as redox potential and pH and uses these to try gain a better understanding of the role that electron transfer reactions play in health and disease.
