Public Events

“I didn’t know how much money was given to research. It is important to know that and how it is spent, given that the taxpayer pays for it!’

– Sue, mother of two young children during our event at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

Proteus is involved in a wide range of public engagement activities, aimed at involving the local community. With its strong interdisciplinary focus across a range of STEM subjects, the project presents the perfect opportunity to instil our passion for science in others, and to get both adults and children excited about the work we carry out.

Check back here regularly for a list of our upcoming events, suitable for members of the general public.
